Three Things That Never Change
Permits When The Work Needs Them
Replacing a water or sewer line, installing a backwater valve and most gas work need a City of Calgary permit. Repairing a leak or clearing a drain does not. We tell you which applies before the job.
Price Before Work
Call-out fee explained before dispatch. Repair price in writing before the first tool comes out. If a wall or floor has to open and the scope changes, work stops and you get a new written quote.

Calgary water is hard. The City measures it in the range of roughly 140 to 275 mg/L as calcium carbonate depending on the treatment plant and the season, and that scale ends up inside hot water tanks, tankless heaters and shower valves.
Winters are long and swing hard. Chinooks bring warm, dry westerly winds off the Rockies, and in January the temperature crosses freezing on more than half the days. Pipes that freeze in an outside wall often split during the cold and only start leaking when the thaw arrives.
Most of the plumbing that matters sits in the basement: the water meter and main shut-off, the hot water tank, the floor drain and, in newer homes, the sump pit and backwater valve. That is where Calgary emergencies usually end up, and where we start.
