Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of emergencyplumberyqc.com (the "Site") operated by Emergency Plumber YQC ("we", "us") and any request for plumbing service made through it. By using the Site you accept these terms.

1. What the Site does

The Site provides information about emergency plumbing in Calgary, Alberta and lets you request service. Requests are fulfilled by an Alberta plumbing contractor (the "Contractor") that services your area. The Contractor, not the Site, performs the work, issues the written quote and invoice, obtains permits and holds the trade certifications and insurance.

2. Information on the Site

Prices shown on the Site are typical 2026 ranges for Calgary in Canadian dollars, before GST, and are a guide only. They are not a quote. Every job is quoted in writing on site before work starts. Guidance about shut-offs, leaks, frozen pipes, drains, hot water tanks and gas is general information and is not a substitute for a qualified plumber attending your property. If you smell gas, leave the building first, then call the gas utility's emergency line from outside.

3. Requests, dispatch and quotes

• Sending the form or calling is a request, not a booking. A booking exists when the Contractor confirms dispatch with you.
• Arrival windows are estimates based on where the nearest plumber is at the time and on road and weather conditions. They are not guaranteed.
• After-hours, weekend and holiday dispatch carries an additional fee that is explained before dispatch. By confirming dispatch you agree to that fee.
• The Contractor will diagnose the problem and provide a written quote before work begins. Work proceeds only on your approval. If the scope changes once a wall, ceiling, floor or yard is opened, work stops and a revised quote is provided.
• A business-hours service call fee covers diagnosis and is credited toward the approved repair where the quote says so.

4. Permits, access and site conditions

Work that needs a City of Calgary plumbing or gas permit will be permitted by the Contractor, and permit costs are included in the quote where stated. You agree to provide safe access to the work area, disclose known hazards, and, where required, obtain condo board or landlord consent.

5. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless the written quote states otherwise. Accepted methods are listed on the invoice. GST applies. Unpaid balances may be subject to interest and collection costs, and the Contractor may have lien rights available under Alberta law.

6. Warranty

Workmanship warranties, if any, are stated on the Contractor's written quote or invoice. Manufacturer warranties apply to parts. Warranties do not cover damage caused by pre-existing conditions, other trades, misuse, freezing after the repair, water quality, or failure to follow written care instructions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Alberta law, neither we nor the Contractor is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the Site or the services, including loss of use, loss of income or damage to contents, except where caused by our or the Contractor's negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Alberta consumer protection law.

8. Intellectual property

Content on the Site (text, graphics, logo, code) belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. You may print or share pages for personal, non-commercial use.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit false requests, interfere with the Site, or use it to send unsolicited messages.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes about services are handled first with the Contractor directly; unresolved disputes may be brought before the courts of Alberta.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date changes when we do. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
